Review

What should I do first? I bought these because I work at a rifle range for long periods and already have hearing loss. I’m quite concerned about my hearing and do everything to take care of it. The first thing I noticed was the seal keeps the earpieces snug and keeps them from falling out. The wire folds between your ears and offers a grasp to keep the controls from bouncing up and down and ripping the earpieces out.

The Bluetooth sound quality is outstanding, and the automatic hearing protection setting is wonderful. When I scratched my ear, I realized I was wearing them as they are so comfortable. I fired several rounds of 9mm when I was at the range to see how it worked. That was the first time I’d ever heard such gunfire. It gets rid of the sonic crack and lowers the level to 85 decibels so you can listen to it without causing damage to your hearing. All the features are incredible. They have a battery life of 12 hours and their rechargeable lithium battery charges quickly while lasting longer.

Rating: The AXIL GS Extreme Electronic Ear Buds have an average rating of 4 stars out of 5 based on user reviews.

AXIL TRACKR All-Purpose Earmuffs

The Trackr is a multi-purpose earmuff. There are hearing aids and hearing protection on the market. The Autoblocker Technology can be used to simply turn off all sounds more than 85 decibels. You can both improve and protect your hearing with dual-purpose technology. Sound Activated Compression with a reaction time of 0.02 seconds, low noise, frequency-tuned for natural sound clarity, and 40 dB gain/amplification

Helpful Positive Review: I bought them for my deaf spouse, who needs hearing protection during duck and goose hunting. He can now hear birds far better than he could previously. He is content with them.

Helpful Negative Review

This purchase was a swindle. According to the description, the only products supplied were “One TRACKR Earmuffs, Carrying Case Bag, 3. 5mm Audio Cable, and Easy Start Instruction Manual Included Along with two AA batteries”. It was tough to get to the battery compartment, and when I did, one of the soft tabs “securing” it snapped off. It’d been a nightmare.

XP Defender is the most advanced hearing protection on the market. Simply place these small earplugs in your ears and choose from the list of options below: To begin, keep the valve ajar; the sound will come through clearly and naturally as if your ears aren’t even closed. The Mesh Filter protects your hearing by dynamically filtering out loud noises before they reach your ears.

Thanks to the Dual Mode settings, you can easily switch between Open and Closed Positions to hear and protect simultaneously or completely shut out all sounds for total hearing protection. These earplugs are composed of medical-grade hypoallergenic materials and are portable, so you’ll always have hearing protection when you need it.

Helpful Positive Review

These fit me well and work similarly to disposable foamies (the best in-ear protection). Sporting clays are a great fit for them. You should also wear over-the-ear muffs when shooting intermediate or full-power rifles or at an indoor range. (This isn’t a defect with these earplugs; it’s something you should do otherwise in these situations.)

Opening the valves allows you to hear without having to take them out, and it provides SOME protection against surprise shoots, but I wouldn’t rely on it for long-term safety. It’s a reasonable price and well-made compared to similar items.

Helpful Positive Review

These were high on my list of expectations. I pushed so hard to get them to work that my ear was in excruciating discomfort the next day. Each earplug contains extremely small controls that are nearly hard to operate. I couldn’t tell if the switch was clicking from one position to the next or if it was just my fingernail. Once the switch is switched, you do not know and are unable to discern which model it is in.

Once the plug is in your ear, reaching and gripping the little tab that is supposed to help you remove it is practically impossible. These were high on my list of expectations.
