Skullcandy Hesh 3 Headphones are the ideal choice for those searching for a sleek, compact set of headphones with outstanding comfort and performance. Hesh Wireless was created with an all-around sound experience in mind to provide comfortable all-day listening. This lightweight, the foldable over-ear headphone is ideal for almost any style of music or occasion due to its convenient design.

Features

  • Bluetooth wireless technology.
  • Rapid charge of 10 Minutes = 4 Hours; 22 Hours of Continuous Battery Life.
  • Noise isolating fit.
  • Microphone, track, call, and volume control.
  • Collapsible design.

Our Review

Overall, these are a great pair of headphones for the price. If you’re searching for headphones with more bass and no Bluetooth connection, I still prefer the Sony xb650bt. However, if you just want to listen to music while exercising without wires, they’ll work fine. Skullcandy has improved on all of the shortcomings of the Hesh 2, but I was disappointed by the plastic build. These are an excellent pair of headphones in terms of sound comfort and appearance.

Pros

  • Battery life lasts a long time with my frequent use (use headphones for 5-6 hours every day).
  • The fast charging function is excellent; I learned that 10 minutes of charging will provide you with three to four hours of battery life. The headphones need around 45 minutes to charge completely.
  • Gives a very comfortable fit.
  • Can be used as both wireless and wired headphones.
  • The sound quality is super great.

Cons

My issue with this pair of headphones is that the plastic casing surrounding the headbands cracked after only 4 months of usage.

2. Skullcandy Hesh ANC Wireless

For music fans on a budget, Skullcandy Hesh ANC is one of the few headphones that provide full sound and Active Noise Cancelling. You’re surrounded by the thickest bass and are hit with the loudest highs thanks to Hesh’s huge 40mm drivers. Call, track change, and volume controls are all conveniently positioned on the side of the device for easy access. You’ll be able to listen to music on your daily commute, or when out running errands without ever having to worry about losing Hesh ANC because Tile’s finding technology is built-in. Rapid Charge allows you to enjoy three hours of music using only 10 minutes of charge, and a full charge lasts for 22 hours. Hesh ANC folds flat for easy storage and transportation within any travel bag.

Features

  • Rapid charge
  • Ambient mode
  • Active noise canceling
  • True wireless freedom
  • 22 hours of battery life

Our Review

Skullcandy Hesh ANC is a spark! The earphones are decent, with a good sound and the Ambient mode being quite clear. The microphones for calls are also fantastic. The Tile feature to help you find them if they get lost is useful too. If I had to complain I would say I wish they got a little louder and had app support. Other than that, great headphones!

Pros

  • The buttons for media and phone calls are simple to operate.
  • At first, I thought the earcaps were a little small, but I’ve never had trouble with them.
  • The foldable/compact design is ideal for storing things.
  • I’ve never had problems with my phone connecting.
  • It charges from 10% to 100% stupidly fast.

Cons

The only two problems I’ve had with it are most likely due to Windows. One of the drawbacks is that there’s no sidetone (a little portion of one’s voice that is fed back through the headset to assist you to regulate your speaking volume). The other problem is that every program seems to start at about 50 percent power, which made me keep adjusting the headset volume as I switch from apps.

3. Skullcandy Crusher Wireless S6CRW-K590

Crusher delivers an audio experience unlike any other on the market — one that places you up close and personal with your favorite music and movies. Crusher uses two full-range 40mm audio drivers and additional dual bass drivers to create an immersive experience in which you hear but also feel. You’ve got a premium Bluetooth headphone with deep bass that you can really feel when coupled with wireless technology and a battery life of up to 40 hours.

Features

  • Noise Isolating Fit
  • Adjustable Sensory Bass
  • Rapid Charge: 10 Minutes = 3 Hours; Gives 40 Hours of Battery Life
  • Microphone, Call, Track, and Volume Control
  • Bluetooth wireless technology

Our Review

They are very comfortable and the noise-canceling element is simply achieved with the external padding rather than using clever internal electronics. The Bluetooth is great but not a total panacea for long-distance connections.

Pros

  • The bass is not only deep, but it’s also powerful and lifelike. It gives the impression that you’re living inside a subwoofer, with sound so strong it makes your teeth vibrate. When pushed to the limit, sensory bass literally makes my teeth quake. You can feel the bass in my literal bones if you grab my hand with it maximum loudness. The treble is clear and bright even when the volume isn’t maxed out. Despite pumping out WICKED deep and rumbling bass, the treble isn’t muddy or distant.
  • Love the soft cushy ear cups, they don’t hurt or bother me. The cups are also a soft but matte feeling material that doesn’t bother me either. The band over the top is a little harder than I would like, but it doesn’t bother me unless I am wearing them for more than about 6 hours – and that’s normal for any headset.
  • The smell is neutral, maybe a little bit like an office building.
  • The material on the top of the band has a distinct carpet smell but is not overwhelming. Not pinchy, which is wonderful.
  • Connects to mobile devices, your computer, laptop, Xbox One controller, etc. with the 3.5mm cable.

Cons

  • For the money, I wish there were some sort of indicator, whether it’s with an app while using Bluetooth or not, that would show me where the battery is at. When using the headphone jack, you can skip songs by double-clicking the button; but when wirelessly connected, none of the buttons skip to the next song. There are just four buttons: volume, bass, and power. The music is paused by pushing the power button while wireless; however, rather than skipping to the next track.

In Conclusion

Skullcandy produces fashionable headphones. They provide a wide range of headphones for casual listening, sports, and gaming, but they lack a more specialized lineup geared towards critical listening. Unfortunately, they’re not the ideal brand for people searching for a more balanced frequency response since the majority of their headphones have a bass-heavy sound profile. They aren’t as sturdy or long-lasting as some other headsets in their price range, but on the plus side, many of their headphone styles are reasonably priced.
